Natural Makeup Look

Hi all! With it being back to school time I’ve decided to put together a natural makeup look. This will be good for those of you who are attending a school with a strict makeup policy, or a job that has the same. Just follow these simple steps and get a beautiful look with hardly any effort.

Primer

I used the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base, which is a really reliable primer. This makes sure that your makeup stays in place all day without having to touch up. It also makes your foundation look more flawless.

Foundation

I’ve been using the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation in shade 120. This is such a great product as it so light on the skin, but actually gives a good coverage. This is partly due to its amazing shade range, but if you don’t have this then just use your favourite foundation.

Concealer

My favourite is the Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NW15 and I apply it with my fingers in triangular shapes under my eyes to brighten them. I then pat them with a densely bristled brush. This makes you look more awake, but not cakey.

Powder

The No7 Translucent Perfect Light Pressed Powder is fabulous as it mattifies the concealer and foundation so there is no shine. This also helps the longevity of your look.

Contour/Highlight/Blush

For contouring I used a small amount of Benefit’s Hoola bronzer as it is matte, rather than sparkly. This way it looks more genuine. For highlighting I used the Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow palette as it gives a lit-from-within look, rather than anything artificial. For blush I used the Benefit Dandelion as it’s really subtle.

Eyebrows/Eyes

For eyebrows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn. I outlined the natural shape of my brows and filled them in so they looked natural, but defined. I ditched everything apart from mascara for the eyes, using Urban Decay’s Perversion on the top lashes, and the No7 Extreme Length Sensitive on the bottom lashes.

Lips

I opted for a colour enhancing lip balm as it adds a pop of colour, but doesn’t look as bold as lipstick or lipgloss. Another good thing about this product is that it reacts to the natural colour of your lips, meaning it will suit everyone.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my natural makeup look, and can take at least some inspiration from it. If you have any of your own tips then comment them blow. Thanks for reading!
