Hi all, welcome to my August favourites! I’ve never done one of these before, but there are so many products that I loved last month. I hope you enjoy this list, and if you have any suggestions of your own then don’t hesitate to comment them below!
Lipstick Queen – Metal Red (£22)
I picked up this lipstick in Barcelona in late June, but it’s been a staple of mine through August. Most of my lipsticks are matte and none are metals, so this makes a welcome change. At first, I was worried that it would rub off easily, or would look patchy. However, it looks super opaque and lasts for hours, even through eating. This is such a wonderful product that I just had to give it a place on my August favourites.
Spectrum A05 Brush (£6.99)
I got this brush in a Birchbox and I love the colour! Once I started using it I found it was a good quality brush. It’s become my favourite powder contouring tool, so I had to give it a place. I’d totally recommend this to those of you who are really into contouring, especially powder, because it gives such a great result in so little time.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ (£30)
This moisturiser has totally changed my skin, you can read my full review of it here. My dryness has really cleared up and I’m also not as oily. Therefore, my skin is clearer with less spots. I’ve almost run out of the tester bottle, but I will definitely be buying a full size bottle. If your skin is a mix of dry and oily I would definitely recommend it.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer (£24.50)
I used to use this bronzer a few years ago, but it was only a tester and I never replenished it. I recently bought a multipack of Benefit powders which includes the Hoola Bronzer. This is a great one for those who powder contour as this bronzer is completely matte, so it doesn’t make you look super sparkly. It isn’t really dark either, as I have porcelain skin but it still looks natural.
Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush (£79)
This was something I got a while ago (see my review here). I wasn’t sure if I would like it, maybe it would be too rough, but this is now part of my daily routine. My skin has become much better as I don’t have as much dry skin, especially on my nose. My makeup used to stick to the dry skin and look patchy, but now everything sits much better. If you’re looking for a facial brush then I would definitely advise this one.
I hope you enjoyed this August favourites post. As it is my first one like this, if you have any advice then comment below. Thanks for reading!
