This is the second of three eyeshadow tutorials using the new Urban Decay palette, Naked Heat (see my review here). I decided to upgrade from Monday’s more natural tutorial, and clamber into more glam terrain. I would advise this look for a more casual event, perhaps a date night or a low-key event. If you want to find out how to get a glam-ish look from the Naked Heat palette then keep reading.
Like I said in the last post, the first thing I do when starting an eyeshadow look is priming my eyelid. This makes your eyeshadow last a lot longer and can make it more vivid and full-coverage. I prefer the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but you can use any primer you prefer. Alternatively, if you want to go primer-free then that’s fine too, whatever is best for you.
Using a small shadow brush I applied the shade Sauced, an orange shade, all over my lid. This acts as a transition shade and also helps the blue in my eyes stand out. Then, using a fluffy crease brush I blended a small amount of He Devil, a deep red shade, into my crease. It’s important to be wary with this particular shadow, as it is highly pigmented, so less is definitely more. To add some shimmer to the look I then brushed Lumbre, an iridescent pink and gold shade, into my crease. After that I blended in a small amount of Dirty Talk, a shimmery version of He Devil, for an extra glam edge. Finally, I put Ounce, a highlight shade, underneath my brow bone before lining my eyes with a liquid liner and brushing on some mascara.
I hope you guys like this look and will wear it in the future. If you have any tips or feedback then don’t hesitate to comment them below, and thanks for reading!
