Multi-budget Mother’s Day gift guide

Struggling to think of what to get your mum for Mother’s Day?  Or maybe the big day has just plain slipped your mind?  Never fear, a gift guide is here to help you get something lovely for the 26th of March.

Under £10

I get it, sometimes we’re all a little strapped for cash, especially if the big day slipped your mind.  However, cheap does not have to mean low quality, you can get some great gifts on a frugal budget if you look hard enough.

bodyshopFor example, The Body Shop have an Almond Milk and Honey collection which is great for dry, sensitive and ageing skin.  Most of the products in that range are under £10, and some are so reasonably priced that you could get two!  There is their Soothing and Caring Shower Cream which is specifically optimised for sensitive and dry skin.  This product is like a shower gel, but is actually soap free so does not unbalance the pH of the skin.  They also have a Calming and Protecting Hand Cream which is £4 for 30ml, perfect for on the go.  However, if you’re a bit baffled by the choice and can’t decide there is the Almond Milk and Honey Treats bundle for £6 which includes a loofah, the shower gel (60ml) and body butter (50ml).  A quick and cheap gift that actually looks thoughtful and good quality!

Under £20

no7If you have a little extra money to spend, but still don’t want to break the bank, then look no further than No7’s Boots range.  There is currently a 3 for 2 offer on so you’re definitely going to get more for your money here.  Their Beautiful Skin Night Cream for Dry/Very Dry 50ml retails for £13.50 and is hypoallergenic for even works for sensitive skin.  This is great for ageing skin, although they do sell some for normal and oily skin which is the same price.  Although if you want to get more than one thing this is a little pricey.  However, they do offer many cleansers and moisturisers such as their Melting Gel Cleanser for £9.50 and their Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator for £8.50.  With the 3 for 2 you could also get something the same price or cheaper than these.  Spending a small amount of money on something worth more is always a great feeling, and it looks like a great effort too!

Over £20

So, you’re willing to completely push the boat out?  Well I’ve got some ideas for you.  A great product for Mother’s Day is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in The Queen which retails for £24 and is a sure-fire match for most skin tones.  The formula is super longwearing, and my own mum is a fan of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks so they come highly recommended.  If you want to up the budget a little more there is the extra indulgent Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream which retails for £35.  I have this product myself, and so does my mum, so it is perfect for all skin types and age.  It moisturises the eyes and reduces fine lines and puffiness which is great for busy women, or just those who want a little indulgence from time to time.

I hope this guide is helpful, please leave feedback below!
